What Happens During a Multi-Point Vehicle Inspection!

A multi-point inspection is like a health check for your car. It helps find small issues before they become big, costly problems. Most shops do it during an oil change, but it can be done anytime. Trained technicians look over key systems, make notes, and share a clear report. You leave with peace of mind and a plan. Here’s what usually happens step by step

1. Fluids & Filters

Techs check engine oil, brake fluid, coolant, power steering, transmission, and windshield washer fluid. They top off what’s low and note leaks. Air and cabin filters are inspected to keep the engine breathing well and the air inside clean.

    2. Battery & Charging

They test battery health and charging output. Weak batteries can strand you without warning. A quick check helps you replace it on your schedule, not on the side of the road.

    3. Brakes & Tires

Brake pads, rotors, and brake lines are measured for wear. Tires are checked for tread depth, cracks, nails, and proper air pressure. Uneven wear can hint at alignment or suspension problems.

    4. Steering & Suspension

Ball joints, tie rods, struts, and shocks receive a thorough examination. Worn parts can make the ride rough and steering loose. Catching them early keeps your car stable and safe.

    5. Belts & Hoses

Rubber parts crack due to age and exposure to heat. Techs inspect drive belts and coolant hoses for splits, glazing, or bulges that could fail under stress.

    6. Lights, Wipers & Safety Items

Headlights, brake lights, turn signals, and windshield wipers are tested. Small fixes in these areas greatly enhance visibility and safety during bad weather or at night.

    7. Road Test & Computer Scan

Many shops offer a short drive to listen and identify potential problems. A quick computer scan can spot hidden issues and stored codes even if the dashboard light is off.

    8. Your Report Card

You’ll get an easy-to-read list, often green (good), yellow (watch soon), or red (needs attention). This helps you plan your budget and timeline, not guess.

A multi-point inspection turns “I hope my car is fine” into “I know what’s going on.” It’s fast, affordable, and smart. We do this every day, so they know what to look for and how to fix it before it becomes a headache.
